Cheers to the beginning of another Lunar New Year!
This half-Chinese gal loves that I get to celebrate this new year along with the calendar new year. We don't do anything too celebratory, but I enjoy that it's part of my heritage!
Here's a look back at the last few Chinese New Year's here at Musings of a Girly Tomboy -- 2014, 2015, 2016.

As a refresher, there are five different types of each characteristic, thus the fire Rooster year. They are know for being trustworthy, punctual, and responsible. As a whole, Roosters are active, amusing, popular, healthy, outspoken, honest, loyal, talkative, and charming. Again, all of this info cam from a Google search that brought me to The Sun publication in Europe. Take with your own grain of salt. I'm not a rooster, but they sure do sound fun!
Even if you don't celebrate this day, I still would like to wish you a happy, healthy, and prosperous lunar new year! To those celebrating today or for the next two weeks, Gung Hay Fat Choy!
You can still celebrate if you aren't Chinese, I promise ;)
