Thinking out Loud - Thoughts vs Words

So many thoughts, so little words...

...sometimes that's how the cookie crumbles.

Thinking - way too many thoughts going on. It's been an emotional weekend and I'm trying to take my learning's from that and become a better person for them. I'm trying to process my thoughts, my emotions, my reactions, and my opinions.

Stressing - I have a race (and one six days later) I have not trained for. Originally, I wanted this to be "my" race to PR in. However, I did absolutely nothing to reach this goal of mine. I've gone on a few long runs, run a few races, continued with Midtown classes, done NP every Wednesday, and continued to play soccer - but I have NOT stuck with a training plan. I am trying to convince myself to just run it easy, but I know that when I get there all those thoughts will go out the winder.

Focusing - on being happy and living presently. I cannot have lofty expectations of people or things in my life. I need to be content with what I have and what I am doing. If I am not, then I need to actively change it. I need to do things for myself and what makes me a better person.

Learning - that what is not in my control, is not worth my mind space. Easier said than done.

Needing - some good girl friend time! Can't wait for Girls Night next week and also finally going to see a good friends new house!

Seeking - advice on how to recruit new people for November Project. It's only been 6 months of us being an active free fitness movement in Sac, but I still feel like we could be doing better. I need some creative ways to get people up and att'em at 6:25AM every Wednesday...
Smallest NP tribe :/

Full Circle - life and Sacramento are soo small. It's so funny, how people will come full circle, into your life. Sometimes for the good, sometimes for the not so good. Whatever the reason, I'm sure there is a lesson to be learned.

Irony - Me telling you I'm over running, but I will be signing up for my 2nd marathon (ever) today, because the price goes up tomorrow! Napa 2015 here I come...hopefully!

Anticipating - So stoked for this upcoming trip to So Cal. Yeah, I have to run a race I'm not prepared for, but who cares...I'll be out of town enjoying the So Cal weather for 4 days of bliss!

Disliking - Comcast! I wish I could just live without cable! What the hell would I do with out my SF Giants games, the upcoming World Cup, and the random trash I watch on on occasion? I hate that I have to support a company who doesn't care about it's customers!!

Craving - I've been craving fish tacos and Thai food for over a week! I'm banking on curbing my craving for fish tacos in So Cal, fingers crossed!

Laughing - at how bad 50 cent's opening pitch was. Sorry, its kinda mean, but come on, really 50?!?

Loving - I'm really loving the rowing machine lately! I even mixed it into a workout! I also finally got to do tire flips today! I'm glad I'm not working tomorrow, because my forearms already feel those heavy tire flips!

Gettin' my row on!
Reading - I need to re-kindle my love for reading. I have a stack of books that I've started and haven't finished. I think this weekend away, I will delve into one and finish it. This whole, start a few and never finish them is so unproductive!

Ending...this post with some love :)

  1. Living in the present and learning to appreciate what you have is SUCH a good practice to master. It doesn't mean that you have to settle for less, but that you can be happy with less while you work for more :)

  2. I would LOVE to join ya'll some Wednesday morning... but the time, location and date is super hard for me (who lives in Elk Grove, has 3 young children, and husband who leaves for work super early).

Perhaps have you tried advertising/asking local running stores to share the running group?

    1. I know. But if you ever want to meet up for a run, I'm always down, I'd love to meet you in person :)

I haven't tried advertising/asking local running stores, but I think I will do that. That's a great idea, thanks for sharing!
